Gillie Haynes is an accomplished communications expert, professor, author and former journalist with experience in print, broadcast journalism and public relations. In addition to her work as an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Communications at 国产小呦女 teaching Public Speaking she has also taught graduate and undergraduate communication courses at The Catholic University of America. Her professional work also includes Public Relations Manager for a national program within the Department of Homeland Security in Washington, D.C., and, in Business Development with EDS. She also developed, produced, and served as host of two on-air programs in her position as Public Affairs Director, KBLX/KRE Radio in the Bay Area of California.
Gillie is passionate about helping people discover the excitement of public speaking, which led to the creation of her business鈥imply Speaking, where she offers innovative public speaking techniques key for delivering impactful, memorable speeches and presentations. She is quite at ease facilitating and conducting public speaking seminars, and enjoys sharing her knowledge on confidently presenting and articulating thoughts and ideas comfortably. As a keynote speaker, her dynamic message focuses on encouragement, confidence, and finding one鈥檚 nerve. Each presentation is accented with her lighthearted humor and a wealth of personal experiences.
Of International notice, in 2015 and 2016 Gillie conducted public speaking workshops at the American Center in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. She is also a poet and has been featured nationally to diverse audiences across the country. Gillie is currently promoting her second book of poetry, 鈥楥ause I Was Feeling Mighty Free (2015). Her first book, Sounds Like a Poem to Me was published in 2012.
