SIEEJ 2024 Ending Violence in PreK鈥16 Schools

The 2024听theme, "Ending Violence in PreK鈥16 Schools,鈥 reflected the comprehensive and collaborative approach required to address school
violence effectively. SIEEJ 2024听explored innovative strategies, evidence-based solutions, and the importance of solidarity in creating safer schools.听A hybrid event, panel sessions were virtual and recorded, while the Dr. Edmund Gordon Distinguished Lecture was offered in hybrid format and not recorded.
"Ending Violence in PreK鈥16 Schools" featured talks by educators Dr. Nathaniel Bryan; Lia Epperson; Gregory Neal Jackson, Jr.;听and Dr. Sophia Rodriguez as well as discussions conducted by expert panels covering an array of topics concerning school violence.
The event closed with the听Dr. Edmund W. Gordon Distinguished Lecture, featuring a talk by acclaimed New York Times bestselling author听Dr. Bettina Love.听*See bios in Speakers tab.
