What is Covered?

  • High-achieving students who display academic rigor and dedication to the field of international copyright law.
  • The Fellowship is intended for students pursuing a career in academics, research or public interest legal practice in the field of international copyright law.

To Apply

  • Submit a completed application along with supporting documents before application deadline.
  • Please submit a separate fellowship application essay describing in more detail your specific public interest goals, qualifications and particular interest in the Right to Research International Copyright.
  • We highly value recommendations from academics or public interest organizations who are familiar with PIJIP鈥檚 work. We also encourage provision of a writing sample.
  • Applicants who do not receive the听听will be considered for the听听or a Merit Scholarship

Information Justice Fellowship

What is covered?

  • 50% tuition scholarship
  • A research or practical skills internship, and
  • A faculty mentor

Eligibility Requirements

The Information Justice Fellowship听provides a 50% tuition scholarship, research or practical skills internship and faculty mentor for a small group of outstanding applicants to the LL.M in IP in one or more of the following categories:

  • Current government or intergovernmental officials who will return to public service;
  • Students with a clearly demonstrated commitment to public interest or government work after graduation;
  • Students with a research focus and a defined project to pursue while at AUWCL;
  • Applicants from developing countries or diverse or disadvantaged backgrounds. 听听

  • Please submit a separate fellowship application essay describing in more detail your specific public interest goals, qualifications and particular interest in any of PIJIP's projects.
  • We highly value recommendations from academics or public interest organizations who are familiar with PIJIP鈥檚 work. We also encourage provision of a writing sample.
  • Applicants who do not receive the听Information Justice Fellowshipwill be considered for听a Merit Scholarship.

Merit-Based Scholarship

Eligibility Requirements:听Offered to students with strong academic performance in law school, and/or prior legal work experience. All applicants are automatically considered for a Merit Scholarship when they submit their application. This scholarship decision will be made concurrently with the admissions decision.

Summer Program Scholarship

What is covered?

  • 50% tuition scholarship

Eligibility Requirements

  • Participated previously in one of听AUWCL Summer Programs
  • This scholarship is awarded to a candidate in the in-residence track of an eligible LL.M. program.

To apply

  • A complete application for an LL.M. program at AUWCL, and
  • An essay describing a current regional, international or country-specific legal problem and offering your solution to the problem. (no more than 750 words)
