Defending the ¹ú²úСßÏÅ®Dream InitiativeÌý(¹ú²úСßÏÅ®Dream) is a part of the Immigrant Justice Clinic at the ¹ú²úСßÏÅ® (AU) Washington College of Law (WCL).
¹ú²úСßÏÅ®Dream’s mission is to provide free immigration legal services to undocumented and other immigrant undergraduate and graduate students who are currently enrolled in colleges or universities in the DC metropolitan area. ¹ú²úСßÏÅ®Dream may also provide free immigration legal services to family members of currently enrolled students.
Thanks to a generous gift from ¹ú²úСßÏÅ®and WCL alum William I. Jacobs, ¹ú²úСßÏÅ®Dream is now a reality. ¹ú²úСßÏÅ®Dream firmly believes that all students can thrive in college when they feel safe and can access opportunities and resources. Our legal services address one barrier to higher education – insecure immigration status – and, with the help of our partners and allies, we address students’ other needs through referrals.
