The Advisory Council on Business Law includes successful entrepreneurs, partners from prominent law firms, and multiple general counsels in various sectors of business law. The purpose of the Council is to assure that the Business Law Program remains forward-looking and continues to be connected to major networks in private practice, the corporate world, and government.
The members of the Advisory Council are committed to helping students in a variety of ways, including mentoring, networking, assisting with job searches, and offering course advice. The Advisory Council members also want to help the Business Law Program Director shape the curriculum to be focused on the needs of businesses and their lawyers in the coming decades. In addition to offering basic courses, such as Corporate Finance and Secured Transactions, the Program hopes to focus on cutting edge issues, such as anti-corruption, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, blockchain, and other distributed ledger technologies.
The Advisory Council is excited about the opportunity to grow and shape WCL's flourishing Business Law Program.
